This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all users and authors availing themselves of the online or offline services offered under Prachi Publishing, an imprint owned and operated by Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication (the “Publisher”). By making a payment to the Publisher, the customer or author acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined herein.
– Refunds are normally processed within 3–4 weeks, subject to banking/payment gateway timelines.
– Refunds are always made to the original payment source (same UPI, card, or bank account).
– Applicable deductions may include: cancellation charges, payment gateway fees, bank charges (NEFT/RTGS), and maintenance charges (3% of the total amount).
– Certain services (like ISBN, editing, design, distribution, advertisements, press release, etc.) are strictly non-refundable.
In all cases (e.g. for book publication, purchase of text book, participation in in-house anthology only) all refunds shall be made strictly as per this Refund & Cancellation Policy. In all cases, refunded within 3–4 weeks after deducting the applicable cancellation charge. In rare cases, delays may occur due to banking or payment gateway issues. However, delays may occur due to banking or payment gateway issues. The publisher will ensure refund initiation at the earliest possible time after deducting applicable charges, which may include cancellation charges, payment gateway fees, bank transaction/NEFT/RTGS charges, maintenance charges (3% of the total amount), and other miscellaneous charges as applicable.
All refunds, wherever applicable, will be made strictly to the original payment source through which the payment was received. For example, if the payment was made through UPI, the refund will be credited back to the same UPI ID; if it was made by debit/credit card, it will be refunded to the same card. Refunds will not be processed to any third-party account or alternate bank details in order to maintain financial security and prevent fraud. No alternative accounts will be entertained.
If you are buying a book, then make the payment through the official payment gateway available at Prachi Publishing online book store. and other payment All payments need to be made to Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication account payee bank draft only or pay through NEFT / RTGS, bank draft or directly deposit in the official bank account of Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication. Authors do not make any payment through any mediator. If the author pays any person or other, Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication shall not be held responsible for delays or inconvenience arising from incorrect details provided by the author/buyer. Therefore, the writer should carefully make his payment by observing the bank account details on the official website of the publisher.
Certain services are strictly non-refundable as they involve immediate costs and resources at the time of availing. Such services include but are not limited to: ISBN allotment charges, manuscript editing, proofreading, cover design, interior formatting, already printed or distributed copies, and any marketing or promotional services. Authors and customers are requested to carefully understand this before requesting a refund.
1. REFUND POLICY FOR CO-AUTHORS OF THE ANTHOLOGY (COMPILATION)
In case of anthology (compilation), application for refund of contribution amount from co-author Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication will be accepted in such a situation. If for the prescribed contribution amount for anthology (compilation), the amount is paid by the co-author to Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication directly in the bank account or through UPI.
The amount of contribution deposited directly into Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication’s bank account, or paid via UPI/payment apps by the co-author for inclusion in the compilation, shall be refunded (after deducting applicable cancellation charges). Refunds are normally processed within 3–4 weeks. However, in rare cases, delays may occur due to banking system issues, payment gateway delays, or unforeseen technical reasons. In such cases, Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication shall not be held liable for the delay, but will ensure that the refund process is initiated in good faith and completed at the earliest possible time.
The amount of contribution deposited directly into Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication’s official bank account, UPI ID, or payment apps by the co-author for inclusion in the anthology (compilation) will be refunded within 3–4 weeks after deducting the applicable cancellation charge. In rare cases, delays may occur due to banking or payment gateway issues. Co-authors are strongly advised to make payments only to the official bank account/UPI ID of Taneesha & Prachi NextGen Publication to avoid disputes.
Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication is not liable for any refund in case the co-author has paid the contribution amount to the editor or compiler, nor will the author expect any refund from Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication. He/she can contact the editor or the compiler directly for the refund, as the payment of the contribution amount was accepted directly by the editor or the compiler, so the editor or the compiler is responsible for the refund. Also note that Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication is not responsible for any kind of correspondence in such situation.
2. PRE-ORDER POLICY FOR ANTHOLOGY (COMPILATION)
In case of compilations, at least fifteen pre-orders are required by co-authors for any anthology (compilation), so that copies of the anthology (compilation) can be made available to co-authors at a discounted price and their certificates can also be printed. Copies of the anthology (compilation) will be made available at a discounted price only with the permission of the editor or compiler. If the editor or compiler does not give his permission to make available copies of the anthology (compilation) to co-authors at a discounted price, the publisher is not bound to provide copies of the anthology (compilation) to co-authors at a discounted price.
At least 15 pre-orders are mandatory for printing certificates and discounted copies. If this requirement is not met, refunds will be processed (after applicable deductions), and no certificates will be issued. If the editor or compiler refuses to fulfill 15 pre-orders, the co-author of the anthology (compilation) will be given a refund after deducting cancellation charge. And also note that any co-author certificates will not be printed by the publisher.
Also note that if the anthology (compilation) is pre-ordered after the last date fixed for pre-order, in such case the amount of the co-author will be refunded after deducting the cancellation charges as per the refund policy.
3. PURCHASING TEXT BOOKS
Customer can cancel order within 24 hours after making a payment for the book. The Amount will be refunded in the next 3 to 4 weeks after deduct the cancellation charge. The order can not be canceled after we have shipped the customer’s book to the partner courier company or 24 hours. After this, the order can not be canceled in any situation.
In Case you have received a wrong book or damaged book or misprint book, Please inform us at email help@tpnextpub.com within two days from the date of receipt of the book and return it to our office address within 7 days. A new book will be sent to our office within 2-3 business days after receiving the book you have sent. Otherwise, we will be unable to replace the book after more than a week has passed.
4. PURCHASING E-BOOK (DIGITAL CONTENT)
Customers can apply for refunds within 24 hours after buying the eBook. If the customer has downloaded an e-book even before 24 hours, then the order will not be canceled and no refund of it will be given. Since e-books are digital and instantly consumable products, once downloaded, they are non-refundable under any circumstances.
5. CANCELLATION CHARGE
The cancellation charges for books is ₹ 150 and cancellation charges for self publishing is ₹ 500, i.e. your amount will be refunded after deducting cancellation charges + payment gateway charges / bank transaction charges / maintenance charges / other miscellaneous charges (as may be) + NEFT or RTGS transaction charges for refund processing. In cases where partial services have already been completed before cancellation (for example, editing, designing, or any pre-press activity), the cost of such completed services will be deducted from the total refund amount in addition to the standard cancellation charge. Only the balance amount, if any, will be eligible for refund.
6. THE HONEST REFUND POLICY
If no work has been started on the author’s book, and the author postpones the decision to publish the book, the publisher will refund the remaining payment to the author after deducting his publication consultancy fees. For which the author has no objection, as in the book publishing agreement, the author has accepted the refund and cancellation policy. Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication book publishing consultancy charge is 50% of any book publishing package or minimum charges ₹ 5,000 (Five thousand rupees only), Whichever is higher will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded.
7. NO REFUND POLICY
The author consciously declares that he is well aware and agrees that if the author’s book is published, the author will not be entitled for a refund under any circumstances. The author declares that he has carefully read the Self Publishing Service Agreement and this Refund & Cancellation Policy which states that the Publisher will not be liable for refund under any circumstances after author’s book is published. The author consciously declares that the refund policy is acceptable to him. By signing the publishing agreement, the author expressly agrees and acknowledges that once the book is published, no refund will be applicable under any circumstances.
8. NON-REFUNDABLE SERVICES
If work on an author’s book has been started but the book has not been published, no refund will be given under any circumstances for the services mentioned below, because the publisher’s team has given its valuable time to the author and provided the designing, layout and other necessary facilities for the book and author using the resources of the publishing house. While certain charges are non-refundable due to immediate resource allocation, we assure all eligible refunds are processed transparently and in good faith. Therefore, the author gives his consent to this Refund & Cancellation Policy after reading it carefully.
8.1. Publishing Consultancy : If no work has been started on the author’s book, and the author postpones the decision to publish the book, the publisher will refund the remaining payment to the author after deducting his publication consultancy fees. For which the author has no objection, as in the book Publishing Agreement and Refund & Cancellation Policy, the author has accepted the refund and cancellation policy. Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication’s book publishing consultancy charge is 50% of any book publishing package or minimum charges ₹ 5,000 (Five thousand rupees only), Whichever is higher will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded.
8.2. Copyright Consultancy : No refund will be given for copyright consultancy fees (₹ 1,490) as per the refund policy. No refund of any kind will be given to the author if the copyright application for the author’s book is initiated by the publisher, as the copyright consultancy has been given by the publisher and the copyright process has been initiated. Therefore there is no refund policy for copyright consultancy service.
8.3. If the manuscript or content is sent through WhatsApp: Often literary works or manuscripts are sent by the author for publication through WhatsApp. To copy content from WhatsApp, the nominal service charge for copying is only ₹ 1,500 (One thousand five hundred rupees only). Therefore, if the work of copying the author’s content from WhatsApp is completed by the team of Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication, then no refund will be given for it. Therefore there is no refund policy for this (Copy & paste content from WhatsApp service) service also.
8.4. Graphics / Cover Photos / Interior Designing : If any designing work like designing work or cover design has been taken up by the publisher for the author’s book then the charges will be deducted as per the charges for the services. That is, no refund will be given when the designing work starts, because the publisher has started the work for the author on his behalf, which has taken both the publisher’s time and the designer’s hard work. We have to devote a lot of time to creative work, so our time is very valuable.
The minimum charges for standard cover design of any book is ₹ 3,500 (Three thousand five hundred rupees only) and the minimum charges for interior layout work of a book is ₹ 2,500 (Two thousand five hundred rupees only). Whereas, the time taken for interior layout of the book and the nature of layout work or layout design may increase the charge. Also note, charges may increase depending on the work done on Standard Cover and the time taken by our designers on Standard Cover. If special art work or illustration work has been done for the author’s cover, then the charge is taken according to the work on the theme of the cover. Therefore, the payment made by the author for the special art work or illustration work for the cover is non-refundable. Therefore there is no refund policy for Graphics / Cover Photos / Interior Designing / Special Art Work or Illustration Work services.
8.5. Manuscript Typing / Copy Editing : If the typing work for the author’s book is done by Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication, then no refund will be given for the typing work, as the author’s manuscript is typed by the Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication. Similarly, no refund will be given if the proof reading or copy editing work has been completed for the author’s book by Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication. Therefore there is no refund policy for Manuscript Typing / Copy Editing service.
8.6. Distribution Fee : If the author takes distribution service after the book is published to take the book out in the international market and subsequently cancels, then no refund will be given, as no refund is given by our distribution partner and Neither cancellation is accepted. Hence, refund will not be given for cancellation of distribution service. At the same time, if the international distribution is already available in the publication package, then in case of refund, after deducting the distribution charge, the remaining balance will be refunded as per the refund policy. Therefore there is no refund policy for Distribution service.
8.7. Advertisement Charges : If the author is advertising his book through Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication, and wants to cancel later, then in such a situation also no refund will be given. Because the advertisement has been consulted by the publisher and the advertisement fee has been released to the advertising service provider, which is not refunded by the advertising service provider. Therefore there is no refund policy for Advertisement service.
8.8. Press Release Charges : The services of third party service providers are used by the Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication for press release, due to which third party service providers do not issue any refunds once charged. Therefore there is no refund policy for Press Release service.
Please note that no amount will be refunded to your account by Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication once the consultancy fees or non-refundable services have been paid by the author. The balance amount will be refunded as per the refund and cancellation policy. The same, the author/buyer shall be responsible for any inconvenience arising due to incorrect details or delay on their part, Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication shall not be held responsible for delays or inconvenience arising from incorrect details provided by the author/buyer. Also note, In the event of any unexpected circumstances causing a delay in the provision of services, Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication will make all reasonable efforts to complete the service as promptly as possible. Please note that no compensation or refund will be provided for any delays.
9. CHARGEBACK / DISPUTE CLAUSE
If any customer or author raises a chargeback or payment dispute directly with the bank or payment gateway, the resolution will be subject to the decision of the respective financial institution. Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication will not be liable for delays or outcomes in such situations, and the company’s refund policy shall apply in parallel.
10. HOW IS THE REFUND PROCESS?
Book author or buyer is required to provide his/her bank details (name, bank account number, IFSC code) or UPI handle through e-mail at help@tpnextpub.com to get refund of her/his amount. Also mention the reason for cancellation, so that we can know the reason and investigate it. So that the author or buyer payment can be processed for refund directly in the stipulated time. Refunds cannot be initiated without correct bank/UPI details provided by the author or buyer. Our business payment systems are designed only to receive payments and do not support automatic refunds.
Please Note, if you have paid us by bank transfer, UPI or other payment apps, then all the apps or bank accounts used by us are exclusively made for business payment purposes. In which there is no refund or payment facility like ordinary personal payment apps. All business payment apps have only the facility to accept payments, there is no facility to send or refund payments. Due to which the author or buyer is required to provide their UPI handle or bank details for the refund process.
The author declares that he has carefully read the Self Publishing Service Agreement and this Refund & Cancellation Policy available on the publisher’s website. The author declares that he agrees to the Self Publishing Service Agreement and Refund Policy and if the author postpones the publication of his book, the publisher will refund the amount to the author as per this refund policy, to which the author has no objection.
Please note that The amount will be refunded as per the refund and cancellation policy. The same, the author/buyer shall be responsible for any inconvenience arising due to incorrect details or delay on their part, Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication shall not be held responsible for delays or inconvenience arising from incorrect details provided by the author/buyer. In case of any disagreement, dispute, or special situation regarding the applicability of refund or cancellation, the decision of Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication shall be final and binding on all parties.
Any dispute or disagreement arising under this Refund and Cancellation Policy, or any matter incidental thereto shall be submitted to a sole Arbitrator to be nominated by Taneesha and Prachi NextGen Publication. Such arbitration proceedings shall take place in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, subject to the jurisdiction of the local courts in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of 1996. Both parties agree that the decision of the appointed Arbitrator shall be final and binding, and no further claims shall be entertained outside the jurisdiction of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
