Mahabharata the world’s largest epic written by Lord Ganesha and dictated by Sage Veda Vyasa. The main story behind Mahabharata was fight for the throne of Hastinapur or in another words it’s for egoistic behaviour of Kauravas. The centre theme of Mahabharata was roll around the controversies of Kauravas and Pandavas which results into First World War like Mahabharata. In the whole epic of Mahabharata Hastinapura plays an important role. In today’s prospects many monuments/places exist in Hastinapur of Mahabharata fame. Hastinapur still remembers the war of Mahabharata after several thou-sand years. The presence of Ganges in the presence of Lord Shiva, the impression of Lord Vishnu’s incarnation Vasudev Sri Krishna’s footprints, Devavrata’s irrefutable pledge, the charity of Raja Karna, the diplomacy of Shakuni, Vidur’s policies to run the administration and many more mysteries buried in/inside Hastinapur. Hastinapur is the place where Dwapar era was written the script of world war like Mahabharata. Every creature from the whole world will participate in this war and Maharishi Veda Vyasa wrote in the Mahabharata epic- “This war had never happened on this earth nor would it be in the future”. In the excavation of Hastinapur in 1950-52, many historical things were abandoned or ignored.
We discovered two most of the important places in Hastinapur
1. Barhkhamba Mound (local name given by peoples) and/or As-sembly of “Toransphatik” in Hastinapur.
2. A place or mound where Lord Vasudev Shri Krishna save the humiliation of Draupdi
