Description
During the lockdown in 2020, when life seemed disheartened and bleak, a storm of thoughts would rise within me. At that time, my son Rohin and daughter-in-law Amrita greatly encouraged me to write. With some courage, I began expressing my emotions through words and sharing them on social media. There, the affection and encouragement from many literary friends and thoughtful readers helped my pen gain momentum. Even before this, my first poetry collection “Jeevan Ki Lay” was published along with its English translation, which was done by my elder sister-like figure, Dr. Shakuntala Prasad. I am deeply grateful to Mr. Devendra Nath Shukla, who kindly wrote the foreword for this collection, dedicating his valuable time. From “Jeevan Ki Lay” to “Jo Rah Gayi Thi Ankahi”, I sincerely thank all those who supported and uplifted my spirits with even a few words of appreciation along this journey. -Usha Kiran (Author)
