Dr. Chandrabhal Sukumar

Dr. Chandrabhal Sukumar is a former judge and a renowned litterateur. He has published dozens of books so far. His writings have been included in more than two dozen joint anthologies, published in leading newspapers and magazines, and broadcast from various centers of All India Radio. He has been honored and felicitated by over a hundred literary, cultural, judicial, and social institutions.

A Ph.D. thesis titled "The Contribution of Chandrabhal Sukumar to Contemporary Hindi Ghazal" has been approved by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. He is the founding president of Kavyayani Sahityik Vatika, established on Tulsi Jayanti in 1984.

After serving in the judiciary for 35 years, he retired in 2010 as District Judge, Allahabad. In 2011, he was appointed as Senior Judicial Member at the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, and later retired in 2016 from the post of Acting President.
